Learning Objectives

  • Review key components of the ECMO circuit to understand the function, and learn to assess the equipment’s operational status
  • Learn to evaluate an ECMO circuit and to communicate normal and abnormal findings
  • Participate in ECMO management through simulated cases using an audience response system (ARS)
  • Review ECMO physiology with application to bedside management decisions using ARS
  • Test your management knowledge and discuss key management decision points with ELSO subject matter expert using ARS
